ScholarWidget - Support

How to Use ScholarWidget

ScholarWidget displays Google Scholar citation metrics on your iPhone Home Screen and Lock Screen.

  1. Open the ScholarWidget app and enter your Google Scholar profile ID.
  2. Tap "Fetch" to verify your profile is found.
  3. Add a ScholarWidget to your Home Screen (long-press → tap "+" → search for "ScholarWidget") or Lock Screen (long-press the Lock Screen → Customize).
  4. The widget refreshes weekly for free, or every 4 hours with Fast Updates.

Alerts, Publications and Sharing

Milestone alerts (free) notify you when your citations cross a milestone, your h-index goes up, or your i10-index reaches a new mark. Citation alerts (Fast Updates) notify you when a new paper cites your work. Both are opt-in toggles in the Alerts card; notification permission is only requested when you turn one on.

My Publications lists your papers with their citation counts; with Fast Updates, each paper shows the most recent papers citing it. Share My Metrics creates an image card of your metrics.

Finding Your Google Scholar ID

Visit your Google Scholar profile page. Your ID is the value of the user parameter in the URL. For example, in scholar.google.com/citations?user=AbCdEfG, the ID is AbCdEfG.
